AI-Generated Drake and The Weeknd Song Takes TikTok and Spotify by Storm

A mysterious producer called "Ghostwriter" has released a song allegedly created by AI, featuring vocals that uncannily resemble Drake and The Weeknd. The track, titled "Heart on My Sleeve," quickly gained millions of listens on TikTok and Spotify. Ghostwriter, known for wearing a white sheet, claims to have been an underpaid ghostwriter for major labels and suggests the song was created by replacing their vocals with those of the famous artists. The legitimacy of the AI-generated claim remains unverified.

Universal Music Group (UMG) expressed concern over the use of their artists' music in training generative AI, citing breaches of agreements and copyright law. UMG also highlighted the importance of platforms taking responsibility for preventing such infringements. Despite the controversy, the song remains available on Spotify, with over 250,000 plays.
