Midjourney's latest update, version 6, has been released as an alpha, bringing significant improvements to AI-generated imagery. Founder David Holz emphasizes the enhanced realism and detailed images, along with a new feature for generating legible text within images.

This release, developed over nine months, marks the third model trained from scratch on Midjourney's AI superclusters.

Users can enable V6 in the Midjourney Discord server or through direct messaging. Holz also notes a change in prompting methods, urging users to adapt to the new, more sensitive V6 system for optimal results.
